{ Narrative } In San Francisco there is a ever increasing influx of Tech workers causing the longtime working-class residents, small businesses, and families, to be pushed out. Richmond is home to many who uses the ferry to commute into the city. The city is adding a new ferry rout that connects to the Point Richmond. Point Barras is a project that proposes a revival of Richmond’s waterfront, as well as providing affordable housing for families

{ Housing } dwelling space that refers to the construction and program of a house or buildings as a collective, for the purpose of sheltering people; creating a space to call home.

{ Gentrification } the process of renovating and improving a district so it conforms to the middle class, forcing long time neighborhood residents out of their homes.

{ Objective } is to demonstrate how to conceive and execute a comprehensive design proposal for an urban housing complex. By examining space at the scale of a module, and its role in shaping a larger entity that relates to context. Coinciding with researching housing typologies and their role in shaping the urban fabric.
